Full color graphic display considerably bigger than its smaller brother. It is functionally equivalent to other displays sold here, meaning it works as system display
showing all the settings and performance info, also can become a label in multi-display setup, and provides single contact input and LED output that are obviously
controlled by MIDI. Up to 100 of those can be connected in series, and it plugs to any scanner port of master controller like MBBS, MRG2, MIDI128, just like every other
extension board available here.
Unlike smaller MiDisp3, this one works with only one font size, which is clearly readable from a distance. Every other feature is common to every size of MiDisp3.
So far only 2 are sold here, but there will be more.
See how it compares to small MiDisp3 and old MiDisp:
It was primarily designed for Hauptwerk labeling system, but it's easy to display text by sending previously prepared MIDI messages from sequencer or DAW. Hauptwerk labeling format is very limited, to 32 characters only and in single color. By inserting special characters (which Hauptwerk changes to question marks) it is possible to use different colors on single display with single MIDI SysEx message.
