This is typical plug used for ribbon cables. It matches standard cable in 50 mils wire spacing. High quality part from Harting, made in Switzerland. Available sizes are 16, 14 and 10 pin, just use selection drop-down menu near the shopping button
Very easy to mount on ribbon cables if you have proper tool or simply a vise. But if you don't, here's how you can make your own cables using those plugs:

  1. remove optional top part of the socket - that's strain relief
  2. put the cable in the slot, and allign with detents on the plastic part
  3. slightly press both plastic parts to make sure cable is not moving
  4. put the plug on flat surface, holes facing down, ribbon laying horizontaly
  5. place wood block or other similar material on top
  6. press it with your hand downwards, use reasonably high force
  7. check if both plastic parts are close to each other at the sides, without visible slots
  8. bend the cable to the other side
  9. if applicable, put the strain relief part, that was removed at the beginning, and press it untill it clicks
